Kyle Robert Burk

Kyle Robert Burk is the creative force behind Burx Culture and Lifestyle, Scotchmans Club and CERCA. He is a Canadian artist whose work blends raw emotion, lived experience, and a deep reverence for storytelling. Born in Calgary, Alberta in 1966 and raised between the vibrant cityscapes of Vancouver and the foothills of the Rockies, Kyle’s creative journey began in a household fueled by strong personalities, loud laughter, and artistic spirit. With roots in theatre, music, and songwriting, his path has never followed a straight line—it’s been a lifelong exploration of expression in all its forms.

Kyle has always followed inspiration wherever it led. The evolution of his medium—from oils to acrylics and now digital drawing with Adobe Fresco—reflects his ability to adapt and grow. His digital art, created intuitively on an iPad, is vivid and visceral, capturing the immediacy of emotion with the tactile feel of traditional media.

Now based in the rugged beauty of British Columbia’s West Kootenays, Kyle draws inspiration from the people, landscapes, and complex emotions that shape his world. Women, in particular, have long served as muses in his work—symbols of strength, mystery, chaos, and beauty. His wife Tamara, a powerful creative force in her own right, and their life together with three sons have been pivotal in shaping both his art and sense of purpose.

Kyle’s work is deeply personal and strikingly universal. Whether through portraits, abstract forms, or storytelling visuals, he seeks to evoke the things that make us human—our flaws, our passions, our resilience. His art is a mirror held to life: sometimes beautiful, sometimes broken, always real.
